Going to bed tonight not with a Judge Dee book but with Arianna Huffington's 1988 Picasso: Creator and Destroyer, though somewhat dreading it. I recall that, when I read it for the first time, I found it very sad and very depressing. After this reread I shall decide whether to give it away or not.
