Watched Star Trek: Beyond on HBO. Whenever Star Trek is being replayed I tell myself that I'll just watch the first 15 minutes and then take my evening shower, but I always end up watching the whole movie.

The success of Star Trek, to me, is that it is the sci-fi series with the finest ensemble acting. One gets the sense that all of the performers love their roles and love one another. Here is a series that has a lot of special effects, yet the performances consistently outweigh them.
